Declaration contained in a letter from the Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom, dated 27 January 2005, deposited with the instrument of ratification on 28 January 2005 – Or. Engl. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland informs that the Protocol is ratified in respect of all its territories to which the Convention applies. Declaration contained in a Note verbale from the Permanent Representation of the United Kingdom, dated 30 June 2009, registered at the Secretariat General on 30 June 2009 - Or. Engl. With reference to the agreement reached at the Conference of the High Contracting Parties to the European Convention on Human Rights, in Madrid on 12 May 2009, the Government of the United Kingdom declares that it accepts, in respect of the United Kingdom, the provisional application of the following parts of Protocol No. 14 to the Convention : - Article 4 (the second paragraph added to Article 24 of the Convention); - Article 6 (in so far as it relates to the single-judge formation); - Article 7 (provisions on the competence of single judges), and - Article 8 (provisions on the competence of committees). In accordance with the terms of the agreement, as reflected in paragraph (a) of document CM(2009)71 Rev2, this declaration takes effect on 1 July 2009. Period covered: 1/7/2009 -
