France :

Interpretative Declaration made at the time of signature, on 12 March 1986 - Or. Fr.

The controls provided for in Article 3 paragraph 4.g as well as those necessary for the application of the provisions of Article 3 paragraph 4.f, shall be carried out "in the framework of the French legislation in this field".

By safe containers shall be understood containers which are made neither from glass nor from metal (Article 3 paragraph 4.f).

The measures provided for in Article 3, paragraph 4, sub-paragraph a, and in Article 6, paragraph 1, must be compatible with those adopted in order to prevent the risks of fire and panic and in case of need, to permit the rapid evacuation of the public.

The Government of the Hellenic Republic declares that the accession of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the Conventions of the Council of Europe to which the Hellenic Republic is a Contracting Party does not imply the recognition of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia by the Hellenic Republic.

Lituanie :

Declaration contained in a a Note Verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, dated 14 May 2001, registered at the Secretariat General on 1 June 2001 - Or. Engl.

In accordance with Article 7 of the Convention, the Government of the Republic of Lithuania has designated the Lithuanian State Department of Physical Education and Sports as the competent authority of the Republic of Lithuania that will perform the provisions of the said Convention.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg designates the Ministry for Physical Education and Sports to ensure and co-ordinate the representation of Luxembourg on the Standing Committee, established by Article 8 of the Convention.
